Coventine Fidis founded ASC in 1978. Mr. Fidis is the sole shareholder, Chairman of the Board of Directors and President/CEO of the corporation. He has many years of experience in both the private consulting industry, and in the public sector with the Illinois Dept. of Transportation. His 38 plus years of experience in the surveying/engineering field and continuing education have made him an authority on many aspects of the profession, including design, land acquisition, boundary analysis, expert witness testimony, construction, photogrammetry and remote sensing, GPS/GIS, Airborne GPS, and hydrographic surveys. His interest in surveying started at the University of Illinois at Champaign/Urbana and culminates today as a leading survey consultant in the industry.

Mr. Fidis received advanced training at Trimble Laboratories in Sunnyvale, California for Advanced GPS Processing and Network Adjustment, and at GeoSurv in Ottawa, Canada in Advanced GPS Processing and Airborne GPS Design and Processing. Through continuing education and in-house research and development, he maintains his ability to work with all new technologies.

As the lead professional, he guides his company through focused marketing, project implementation, and technical direction to client satisfaction. As CEO, Mr. Fidis guides and fosters the direction and growth of ASC. He is personally responsible for the implementation of cutting edge technologies that keep ASC a leader in the industry. Most recently, Mr. Fidis has added High Density Laser Scanning that uses Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) technology to ASC's capabilities. He has attracted numerous talented professionals and has made ASC a renowned leader in Surveying and Mapping.
